I'm Riley Grace!

I got my first camera at age six + planned my first "surprise" b-day party at age seven, so I've been in the industry for a while. My business is built on my passion for exploring new memories with others, but I also have a Bachelors in Event Planning, photography training, + I work full-time as a social worker utilizing my BSW! With that being said, my passion is people, + my fav part of this job is the friends I make along the way! Oh, + above is a picture of me + my fav unpaid assistant - my husband :)

education + experience

I have a Bachelor's in Event Planning and my Bachelor's in Social Work, and am currently working towards my Master's in Social Work! My long term goal is to utilize these degrees to run a non-profit that utilizes Equine-Assisted Therapy to help rehabilitate survivors of human trafficking. Riley Grace Co. is a HUGE part of how I am saving up to fund this dream and goal of mine! In the future, I would also love to offer free sessions to mommas coming out of trafficking situations to help restore their confidence in who they are and their purpose as a mother.

why photography + Events

Growing up, my mom always told me I should be an event planner - whether that was because I'd re-watch "The Wedding Planner" a million times or because I was planning all my friends surprise parties in the first grade... I'm unsure. As any daughter would, I told my mom she was crazy and counted events out. But try as I did, I couldn't let go of the joy it brought me to see people laugh, cry, rejoice, and commune in the space of an event I had crafted, so I studied it in college and it's now a huge piece of my life (and very useful in social work!). Photography was a result of me needing a creative outlet, and in the process finding out I loved capturing joy of all kinds. What started as a hobby all of a sudden became a part-time gig, and I couldn't be more grateful for this blessing.

fun facts!

  • I married my high school sweetheart Andrew Plott on August 4, 2024 (I was his first crush wayyyy back in the second grade!) and our wedding picture situation was a debacle, which is why I am so detailed in my wedding photography!! Even with the debacle, our wedding was the best day ever!!!!!
  • I am a Christ follower and ultimately do everything to glorify Him! He is the reason I am here today and able to create memories, love others well, and rejoice with each of you!
  • I am a lover of all things country, am originally from Iowa, and will never pass up on my great-grandma's mac'n'cheese, regardless of my lactose intolerance! :)
